Ciao a tutti,
io credo che la passione per il modellismo nasca con noi…
Ho iniziato la mia avventura (e mi sembra di non essere il solo) con gli aerei. Ricordo ancora il primo Spitfire,
che dipinsi a pennello, e poi ci fu l'enciclopedia dell'aviazione, che regalava dei modelli dai biplani in poi. Dopo un periodo di passione per il fermodellismo ci fu uno stop per un periodo relativamente lungo.
Verso la metà degli anni '90 è tornata, anzi, si è riaccesa la fiamma e ho ricominciato, questa volta con i figurini (ma lo sapete che non mi ricordo come mai?), prima con l'Alfa model, poi con la Compagnia del Figurino Storico attuale club ed oggi approdo anche in Gastart.
Ho iniziato con la pittura seguendo le dimostrazioni di Stefano Bongarzoni che mi ha fatto apprezzare il medioevo… quanto tempo ho passato a fare prove su prove per dipingere le araldiche!
Con la Compagnia, come Emiliano Iacobacci ho partecipato a diverse tematiche di club, di cui alcune per il Museo della Figurina Storica di Calenzano.
Ora ho ormai abbandonato i pennelli per lo stucco. E' stato per caso; un giorno ho voluto provare a modificare un pezzo e gli ho scolpito un mantello (prendendo come esempio un pezzo Pegaso scolpito da Pietro Balloni) che mi è venuto praticamente uguale.
Mi ricordo che con lo studio di una nuova tematica (Lanzichenecchi) il mio amico Stefano Castracane mi disse: "Perché non provi a fartelo da solo?" Da quel momento non mi sono più fermato, facendo prove su prove, passando da un tentativo all'altro (quanti mostri ho creato!!) e studiando le opere degli altri scultori, Andrea Jula in primis, senza mai scoraggiarmi.
Al momento il mio "bestseller" è un guerriero samurai che mi è costato molta fatica (circa 7 mesi di lavoro... due o tre ore al giorno, anzi alla sera, visto che riesco a lavorare solo dalle 21.30/22.00 in poi) ma alla fine la soddisfazione del lavoro fatto è stata grande e anche ripagata con un bronzo in master open all'ultimo concorso Le Petit Soldat.
Devo dire che la pittura è bellissima e, tutto sommato, è anche il fine del soldatino, ma la scultura, "creare da zero", è veramente un'esperienza unica. E' emozionate e molto gratificante, ma anche molto difficile, dato che oltre a tutto ciò che devi imparare (conoscenza del materiale, anatomia, postura, panneggio ecc...), è sempre uno studio continuo che varia di pezzo in pezzo.
Inoltre, credo che una componente importante e gratificante del mondo del soldatino non sia il soldatino stesso, ma il piacere di fare sempre nuove amicizie e di incontrare gli amici alle gare in Italia e all'estero; scherzare, divertirsi e soprattutto mangiare e bere insieme!!

I believe that the passion for the modelling is born with us…
I have begun my adventure (and it seems me not to be the solo) with the airplanes. I still remember the first "Spitfire", what I painted to brush, and then there was then the encyclopedia of the aviation, that gave some models from the biplanes in. After a period of passion for the Trainmodeller there was relatively a stop for a long period.
Toward halves the years '90 have returned, rather, is the flame relighted and I has restarted, this time with the "soldiers figure" (but I don't know that I don't remember me why?), first with the alfamodelclub, then with the Historical Figure Company my actual club and today landing also in Gastart.
Have begun with the painting following the demonstrations of Stephen Bongarzoni that has made me appreciate the medieval period… how much time have given to make tests on tests to paint the heraldries!
With the Company, as Emiliano Iacobacci I have participated to different thematic of club, of which some for the Museum of the Historical Figurine of Calenzano.

To the moment mine "bestseller" it is a warlike Samurai that is cost me a lot of work (around 7 months of job... two or three hours a day, rather to the evening, considering that I succeed in having worked then only since 21.30/22.00 in) but at the end the satisfaction of the done job has been great and also repaid with a bronze in master open to the last contest her Le Petit Soldat.
I have to say that the painting is very beautiful and, everything added, is also the goal of the soldatino but the sculpture, "to create from zero", it is really an unique experience. And' excited and very gratifying, but also a lot of difficulty, since besides all of this that you have to learn (knowledge of the material, anatomy, posture, drapes etc...), it is always a continuous study that varies of piece in piece.
Besides I believe, that an a component main point and gratifying some world of the soldatino is not the same soldatino but the pleasure to always make new friends and to meet the friends to the competitions in Italy and to the foreign countries; to joke, have a good time him and above all to eat and to drink together!!
